Pioneers Innovation for Sustainability and Impact (Pioneers Innovation) is a visionary initiative born out of the urgent need to foster a sustainable and effective ecosystem for aid organizations. Our mission is to enhance humanitarian work by embedding innovative technology into operational frameworks, offering incubation and acceleration programs and generating insightful research and content.
Pioneers Innovation is a social enterprise established by the Syrian non-profit organization, Basmeh and Zeitooneh and now serving as its social business partner. Extending our scope beyond this initial collaboration, we aspire to partner with diverse organizations aligned with our values and vision.

Envisioning a future where nonprofit organizations in the MENA region thrive within a dynamic ecosystem, we aim to foster deep, lasting social change, eliminating poverty and hunger while ensuring that inclusive, high-quality education is available to all. Thus, our strategy involves addressing the financial gaps encountered by third-sector organizations, including NGOs, CSOs, CBOs, aid agencies and charitable foundations in Syria, Lebanon and throughout the MENA region. This vision propels our dedication to empower and provide comprehensive support and services to organizations in conflict areas by leveraging our expertise, vast experience and expansive networks
Our Story
Pioneers was inspired by the real-world difficulties faced by humanitarian workers in Syria and Lebanon. In this respect, two events were pivotal: the tragic Beirut port explosion of August 4th, 2020, and the devastating Turkish-Syrian earthquake of February 6th, 2023, which impacted millions in both countries. During those crises, many non-profits—including Basmeh and Zeitooneh—were confronted by the limitations of their resources. It was within this context that Pioneers Innovation first conceived its aim of fortifying existing humanitarian efforts.
Our Commitments

• To assist third-sector entities operating in the MENA region in their efforts to meet specific societal challenges and respond more efficiently to disasters.
• To enhance the wellbeing of Basmeh and Zeitooneh's workforce and that of aid workers across Syria and Lebanon.
